Following our first inaugural meeting of the OHS Migration Special Interest Group (MSIG), we would like to warmly invite anyone with an interest in migration and the role of oral history to attend our second meeting.  MSIG was launched in 2016 and everyone that has subsequent expressed interest in the Group will receive this invitation. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome interested oral historians and practitioners to come together and discuss the role of the Migration Special Interest Group and to make plans for the future.  We would especially welcome the opportunity to discuss the role of the Group and to consider funding opportunities and to seek thoughts and opinions on what our aims and directions should be.  We have an opportunity to apply for research funding and would welcome feedback on what colleagues view as important areas for research within this field.

The meeting will take place on the University of East London Docklands Campus on Thursday 9th February between 3pm and 5pm.  If you know of any colleagues that may be interested in attending this event, please do let us know.

Please contact Paul Dudman on 020 8223 7676 or by email on p.v.dudman@uel.ac.uk for further details.  Booking is via the Eventbrite link detailed above.

Please circulate this amongst your networks and forward on to anyone you think might be interested.

We look forward to meeting as many of you as can make it on the day.

Yours Sincerely,

Paul V. Dudman
Lead Convenor of OHS MIgration SIG & Archivist at UEL.
